A beautiful story of "A Vacation With A Difference "

 It was the last day of the examination and so my friends and I decided to paint the town red. Our first plan was to watch a movie and then have a big bite at one of our favourite food joints. Having done so, we decided to take a walk down the beach. As we were strolling along the silvern sandy shore, we tried looking for sea-shells, little crabs and other sea elements that lash the shore with the breaking of the waves, but much to our dismay, we could hardly find any. Instead there were chocolate wrappers, food packets, paper trays, leftover food stuff and bottles and cans of drink strew all about, It was a very unpleasant sight for us. However we walked a few yards ahead and decided to return.On our way back, we took the short cut which once was an unpaved road through the mangroves, but lo and behold, what did we encounter - for a moment, all of us thought that we were in the wrong area beauty was now a concrete jungle of housing colonies and tiny shanties wherever possible. One of my friends remarked that he was disturbed to see this. So were the other friend and I. We could hardly imagine that so much of damage was done to the environment. Immediately we decided to utilise our vacation time at our disposal to bring about a change. this entire three square mile plot which, once, was full of greenery and natural The next morning we contacted an NGO and explained to them our plan. They were more than happy to collaborate their efforts with ours and soon we began with garnering support and assistance from college youth. The first task we initiated was to clean up the beaches in our city and then other similar projects. Thus we tried to save the environment. Value: What God has created, man must not destroy.

A beautiful story " Caught while Sleeping"

  One cold and lonely night, when neither a whisper nor a sound could be heard coming from the streets, I woke up by the sound of footsteps on the staircase. The first thought that hit me was 'burglars' but then the sound ceased and so I tried to get back to sleep. After a while, the sound resumed and this time with firmness and quickness. I dared to get out of the bedroom and followed in the darkness in the direction of the sound of the footsteps. As I entered the kitchen, I was horrified to see to burglars trying to escape with a bag filled with some valuables through the stairs that led out into the passageway and then outside.
