A beautiful story of "A Remarkable Act of Charity "

It was the second last day of our Safari tour in Kenya and our excitement was reaching its peak when we met Patrick Denguda, popularly known as 'Water Man' at the Tsavo West Safari Park. We came to know that the animals there had turned weak and frail for want ofwater. Just then we met Denguda who fills the bone-dry watering holes in the region, driving for hours on end every day to haul water to where it is most desperately needed. Many animals didn't even wait that long, fearlessly crowding the truck as Denguda approached the tap. Nearly 500 buffaloes started drinking water while we were standing there. Then Denguda narrated how the drought had affected the entire area including the Safari park, leaving animals to die of thirst. He told us how, initially he rented trucks and drove to several locations but due to financial constraints he limited his service to the Safari Park itself. As we proceeded further, we contacted our folks in Mumbai who agreed to assist us in saving the wildlife in Kenya, so the next day, a team of representatives from the local NG0 contacted us and we explained all the requirements. They got to work immediately and in two to three hours' time, they got a water facilitator to supply water to all the affected parts of Kenya, including the Safari Park. When Denguda got to know about this, his joy knew no bounds, for his prayers were answered. And that's how we saved the animals during the drought time. Value: A small thought and a kind act can save much !
